There are six available
2004 2005 Ford Taurus models, they are; Taurus LX, Taurus SE, Taurus SES,
Taurus SEL, Taurus SE Wagon and the new Ford Taurus SEL Wagon.
The new 2004 2005 Ford
Taurus has the Government's highest 5 Star Front Crash Test Rating. The new
Ford Taurus Personal Safety System, includes restraints control module, safety
belt pretensioners, driver's seat position sensor, dual-stage front airbags,
front safety belt usage sensors, energy management retractors and front crash
test severity sensors. Also, Second Generation driver and right front passenger
airbags, safety belts: manual lap/shoulder belts with adjustable D-rings on
front outboard positions, pretensioners and energy management retractors on
outside front positions are all standard on all 2004 2005 models of the Taurus.
This year for 2004 2005,
Ford Taurus comes with a choice of three engines. The first is a 3.0L Vulcan V6
engine with automatic overdrive transaxle, or the 3.0L Duratec V6 has 24-valves
(four per cylinder) and dual overhead cams, features long associated with
high-performance engines (Standard on the Ford Taurus SEL). The third available
engine is optional on all models except the 2004 2005 Taurus SEL sedan and
wagon, 3.0L Vulcan V6 Flex-Fuel engine with automatic overdrive transaxle.
Comfortable seats are equipped in all 2004 2005 Ford Taurus models, the
6-passenger seating arrangement includes cloth bucket seats with center
seating, front armrest, two-way head restraints, front seat map pockets and
fliplfold center seating console is available on all models of the Taurus
except the SEL sedan and wagon.
On the 2004
2005 Ford Taurus SEL models the standard seating is a 5-passenger seating:
cloth bucket seats with center seating, front armrest, two-way head restraints,
front seat map pockets, floor console and floor shift (also available in SEL
Wagon with Duratec V6 Package).
The Sport
Package is only available for the Taurus SES Sedan as an option and includes
two-tone cloth sport seats, pewter brush finish on center instrument panel
stack and floor console surround.
On the new
2004 2005 and this year's 2004 2005 Ford Taurus wagons is a 2nd row 3 passenger
bench; rear facing 3rd row 2 passenger bench with adjustable head restraints
and folding seat back load floor.
Power
adjustable pedals are available on the 2004 2005 Ford Taurus SEL models to give
you the option of moving the brake and accelerator pedals about three inches
closer to accommodate your personal comfort needs.
